Creating a New Delivery

Complete guide to creating deliveries in wallmarkets.

Quick Start

1. Navigate to Deliveries page
2. Click "New Delivery" button
3. Select supermarket/location
4. Add products and quantities
5. Set delivery date
6. Click "Create Delivery"

Detailed Steps

Step 1: Access Delivery Creation

From Dashboard: - Click "New Delivery" button (top right) - Or press N keyboard shortcut

From Sidebar: - Click "Deliveries" - Then "+ New Delivery"

Step 2: Select Destination

Choose Supermarket

Search or select from dropdown:
- Supermarket name
- Address preview
- Subchain (if applicable)

Pro Tip: Start typing supermarket name for quick search!

Step 3: Add Products

Select Product 1. Click "Select Product" dropdown 2. Choose from your inventory 3. Product details auto-load

Enter Quantity - Specify how many units - Must be positive number - Decimal allowed (e.g., 2.5)

Add More Products - Click "Add Another Product" - Repeat selection process - No limit on products per delivery

Product Line Example:

Product: Organic Milk 1L
Quantity: 24
Weight: 24.72 kg (auto-calculated)

Step 4: Set Delivery Date

Calendar Picker - Click date field - Select from calendar - Must be future date - Consider preparation time

Date Guidelines: - ✅ Tomorrow or later - ✅ Working days preferred - ❌ Past dates not allowed - ❌ Today (requires advance notice)

Step 5: Add Notes (Optional)

Special Instructions: - Loading dock number - Contact person - Delivery time window - Access codes - Special handling

Example Notes:

Deliver to back entrance
Contact: John Smith (555-1234)
Available: 8AM - 12PM
Use Loading Dock #3

Step 6: Review Before Creating

Double-Check: - ✅ Correct supermarket - ✅ All products added - ✅ Quantities accurate - ✅ Delivery date is correct - ✅ Notes complete

Total Weight: 48.5 kg
Number of Products: 3
Estimated Size: Medium Load

Step 7: Create Delivery

• Click "Create Delivery" button
• Confirmation message appears
• Redirected to delivery details
• Email notification sent

After Creation

What Happens Next?

1. Delivery Created: Initial status set
2. Confirmation Email: Sent to your email
3. Dashboard Updated: Metrics refreshed
4. Print Available: Receipt can be generated

Immediate Actions

View Delivery - See all details - Print receipt - Download PDF

Edit Delivery - Modify products - Change quantities - Update date - Edit notes

Track Status - Monitor progress - Update as needed - Mark delivered

Validation Rules

Required Fields

• ❗ Supermarket/Location
• ❗ At least one product
• ❗ Quantity > 0
• ❗ Delivery date (future)

Common Errors & Solutions

"Supermarket Required"

Problem: No location selected Solution: Choose supermarket from dropdown

"No Products Added"

Problem: Product list empty Solution: Add at least one product

"Invalid Quantity"

Problem: Quantity is 0 or negative Solution: Enter positive number

"Past Date Not Allowed"

Problem: Date is today or earlier Solution: Select future date

"Product Not Found"

Problem: Product no longer exists Solution: Choose different product or add new one

1. Create in Advance: 2-3 days ahead
